Handy Andy At The Double

In the last issue manager Alex Smith paid tribute in his notes to the way the Reserve team was conjuring up some high scoring performances. Among the displays which pleased him greatly was one both co-managers witnessed themselves, namely the 4-0 win against St.Mirren at Paisley.
On this occasion the rout was led by back-in-form Andy McLeod who got two. The first of these came in the first half hour when he quickly pounced on a defensive mistake to steer the ball wide of the 'keeper. The second arrived mid-way through the second half when Brian Irvine, using his power to back up the front men as always, too advantage of another defensive error to make it 2-0.
Selbie and McLeod poached two more towards the end for a thoroughly convincing display.
