Fraserburgh's Good Fight

Aberdeen "A" defeated Fraserburgh by one goal to nothing in a closely contested Aberdeen and District League fixture at Bellslea Park. Fraserburgh were first on the offensive, and McSevich had to save from Bruce. The homesters continued to press, and forced two corners, following which McSevich effected a brilliant save. Aberdeen then took up the running, but the home defence held out. Shortly before the interval Robertson opened the scoring for Aberdeen, beating Gibb from six yards out. On the restart Aberdeen forced a corner, but Miller sent behind. Following this the homesters forced two corners, but nothing resulted. The visitors were having the better of the exchanges this half, and the Fraserburgh goal ran several narrow escapes. It was only bad finishing on the part of the Aberdeen forwards that saved Fraserburgh from a heavier defeat.
