Rothes 1 - 4 Aberdeen

Friendly
Gavin Gray's benefit match
Aberdeen scorers: Scanlon 15, Hamilton 42, Davidson 50, Davidson 75.

24/02/1980 | KO: 15:00

On Sunday, we took some of the reserves to Rothes to play in Gavin Gray's benefit match. Steve Morrison played in midfield and fitted in nicely, his understanding with Stuart Kennedy was one of the pleasing features of the game. Doug Considine played the first half in midfield, but looked happier when he moved back to centre-half in the second half.
George Middletom, Neil Burke, John Boyce and Steve Cowan came on in the second half and all of them played their part.
Two goals by Duncan Davidson, one by Derek Hamilton, and one from Ian Scanlon gave us a 4-1 victory.
