Clydesdale Bank Youth League
Aberdeen took the lead after only 2 minutes. After a good move Declan McManus crossed for Cammy Smith who scored his first goal of the season.
The Dons dominated the first half and really should have been two or three up. Hibs goalkeeper Grant had a couple of great saves, including one fantastic stop from a Stephen O'Neill shot that was heading into the top right hand corner. Dean Carse was also unlucky not score when after a goal mouth scramble the ball deflected off a defenders foot onto the bar.
After the break the home side came more into and equalised on 59 minutes. Danny Handling scoring after some poor defending. The Dons went back ahead when Scott Rumbsy headed home a Ryan Fraser cross. However the Dons could not hold onto the lead again and Hibs one a penalty when Lukasik brought down Smith in the box. Caldwell scored from the spot.
Both teams hit the woodwork in the second half and a draw was probably a fair result in the end, although the Dons will be disappointed they did not do in at the break further ahead.
