Aberdeen A defeated an East of Scotland Junior Select at Pittodrie on Tuesday by three clear goals. In this game, the Pittodrie Reserves had on trial a centre forward from Portsoy, and also a junior inside left from Bellshill. Neither player impressed. The visitors had some very clever players in their ranks, notably the centre-forward.

Aberdeen "A" defeated a team Juniors representing the East of Scotland by three goals to nil in a friendly match at Pittodrie yesterday.
From the start Aberdeen had matters well in hand, and Falloon early opened their account. The juniors showed clever touches, Wynne and Elliott being specially prominent. Aberdeen had an inside left and centre-forward on trial, but neither showed promise, although the latter was responsible for Aberdeen's second goal. Towards the end of the first half, and during practically the whole of the second, Aberdeen did not exert themselves greatly, and as a result the juniors showed up better. Cosgrove from a goalmouth scramble annexed the homesters' third goal. The juniors strove hard to open their account, and were a trifle unfortunate not to score more than on one occasion. Aberdeen had a sound defence. Spencer was the best of the halves, while in attack only Falloon and Cosgrove played well. Wynne was the best man on the East of Scotland side, although Elliott, Ritchie, and Barton were not far behind.
