Wee Dons Down In Five Goal Thriller
Our home fixture against Motherwell Reserves was a disappointment for us. It was our first defeat in the league, and by coincidence Motherwell did the same last season when we were having a good run. We picked the wrong day to be off form and in fact not one of our players played as they can do. We got off to a bad start when White the Motherwell left back scored from 40 yds. The visitors went two up when slackness in our defence allowed the unmarked Lindsay to score.
After the interval we pulled one back when a defender handled in the penalty area and Jocky Scott did the needful from the "spot". Motherwell scored a third when a high ball from the keeper caused a problem to our defence and Lindsay again was on hand to score when the ball rebounded from the cross bar. John Clark our new signing pulled one back when he scored from an Alex Grant pass. We tried hard for the equaliser and but for some good saves by Alistair Hunter we might have had a share of the spoils.
