The Aberdeen League team concluded their northern tour last night, when they met and defeated Elgin City at Cooper Park, Elgin, by 3 goals to 1. The weather, althjough cold, was dry, and there was a large attendance.
The game was fast in the first half, and it was only after 30 minutes' play that Wright scored for Aberdeen from a free kick just outside the penalty area. This was all the scoring in the first period.
On resuming, the City made several raids on the Aberdeen goal. The visitors persisted in playing the one-back game, which incurred the displeasure of the spectators. Massie netted twice for Aberdeen, and Munro scored once for the City.
It was a rather poor exhibition. The defence of the City was magnificent, and forward Henderson and Low were in fine form.
