Aberdeen A met Buckie Thistle in Victoria Park, Buckie in the undecided semi-final tie the Aberdeenshire Cup. The ground was frost-bound. Aberdeen, playing uphill, opened the scoring in a quarter of an hour through Macleod at inside right. Buckie improved, and made a couple of raids on the Aberdeen goal. Clark missed one good chance. Aberdeen nearly converted a corner, Hector in goal saving finely at the expense of another corner, which Hector again cleared. McLeod scored a second goal for Aberdeen with a long cross shot, which Hector could not reach. Buckie made a fine break away, but Thomson's shot went wide. A foul against Aberdeen almost enabled the home team to score, but the custodian saved.
On resuming Aberdeen kept up the pressure. Buckie made strong efforts to score, and twice they were singularly unfortunate, Aberdeen's custodian lying on the ball at one time till he cleared. Robertson, the inside left, but Aberdeen's third goal 20 minutes from time. Play closed with Aberdeen pressing.
