Aberdeen 'As' Victory At Fraserburgh

The football season at Bellslea Park, opened last night with an Aberdeen and District League match, Aberdeen A supplying the opposition. There was a large crowd of spectators.
Fraserburgh made the first aggressive movements, but were soon on the defensive. The backs treated the crowd to some lusty kicking, and Anderson effected a smart clearance. Aberdeen were given a free kick just outside the penalty line, and after a faulty clearance by Anderson, Forbes rushed the ball into the net.
Edward sent ball across the goal-mouth, and Wilson and Love missed a good chance. Aberdeen met with further success, Forbes beating Anderson with a shot. Turner had a fine effort, McSevick getting rid of his parting shot at full length.

Shortly after the resumption, Anderson saved a fast drive from Forbes. Play was more even than in the first half, the home players showing up well against their heavier antagonists. Aberdeen later set up a severe pressure, and Forbes secured his "hat trick."
Almost immediately afterwards, Fraserburgh opened their account, Davidson being the marksman. Love, with an angular shot, scored Aberdeen's fourth goal. Towards the close Fraserburgh forced a fruitless corner.
