"Dunky" Yuill, the Rangers reserve goalkeeper has signed for Aberdeen. Mr Travers was at Glasgow on Monday and fixed up the ex-Dumbarton goalkeeper. It will be recalled that last season, when Yuill was putting up some brilliant shows for Dumbarton, Aberdeen were keen on his services but the player decided to go to Ibrox. He was drafted into the Rangers team right away, owing to Tom Hamilton having gone off form. The latter, however, was not long out of the League team, and Yuill had to be content with playing in the reserves. He was considered too good for Alliance football and the Rangers, rather than keep him in the reserve team, gave him the option to go. Aberdeen must have paid a good fee for him. Yuill formerly played for St Mirren.

RESCUED FROM CANAL. Ex-Aberdeen Footballer's Brave Act.

While elderly woman was walking along the bank of the Forth and Clyde Canal at Old Kilpatrick yesterday she was observed to stumble and fall into the water. Among those who witnessed the accident was Duncan Yuill, the former Aberdeen and Rangers goalkeeper, who belongs to Old Kilpatrick, and is at present residing there before going to Millwall.
Yuill at once ran to the spot and without divesting himself of his clothing dived in and after considerable difficulty was able to bring the woman to the bank in an exhausted condition. After being attended to the woman was able to removed to her home in Radnor Park.
