Profile:
Full name: Ian Henderson Black. The war put Ian's Aberdeen career on premature hold and he only made a single competitive first team appearance before being called up to the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Consequently his first top class experiences began when he was a wartime guest with Chelsea. Later he joined Southampton where he was a resounding success as he was with Fulham. Later he played for Bath City and Canterbury City.
After retiring Ian ran a sports' shop for many years and lived to the ripe old age of 88, passing away in December 2012.
