Full Name: Alexander McIntosh Finnie
Sandy left Pittodrie during Eddie Turnbull's early years in charge when Turnbull decided that he did not want to retain part-time players. Finnie was, at the time studying in parallel with his football and chose to continue with his course so moved on to join Arboath FC. In 1969 he moved to Inverness Caley which gave him more time to focus on his studies. later returned to Pittodrie to work in the Community Department and was a founding committee member of the Former Players Association.
