Full Name: Richard Thorburn Ritchie

Whilst the main squad was on tour of South Africa in 1937 remaining players had been ordered to report for training on 20th July but Ritchie failed to turn up till 25th August. This may or may not have been because he had been recovering from an operation for varicose veins. After deliberation the Club decided to suspend him sine die. A hearing of the SFA Claims Committee did not agree with this and ordered the Club to reinstate him and pay a fine of £20 for an infringement of the articles of association.
